Newborn photography is hands down the cutest thing to grace Pinterest & Facebook, like ever!! I mean, who doesn't just LOVE seeing tiny little humans curled into the most snuggly positions ever?

With that being said, it is the genre that requires the most safety measures to be used. I do not take safety lightly and for this reason I always shoot newborns with an assistant so that someone always has a hand on your baby if they are not snuggled in to a safe space on their back. While it is true that babies will fuss out of irritation during their newborn session, I will NEVER let your baby scream for more time than it takes for me to scoop them up and console them, and I will not force your baby into a position that they have communicated they are not comfortable in. Besides capturing the gorgeous fresh baby details that fade so quickly, my main goal is to make sure that no parent leaves my studio feeling traumatized from watching their new baby cry.
